Print Copy Scan working with China Fleet Country Club
Copier supply firm boss Karl Welburn has completed a major install at China Fleet Country Club – three years after he used to service their old machines as an engineer.
Mr Welburn was a familiar face at the golf and leisure complex, in Saltash, when he looked after its copiers while working for another company.
Now he has secured them as a client again this time as boss of his own copier supply firm Plymouth-based Print Copy Scan (PCS).
“It is great to be back working with the staff at China Fleet and it was nice when a number of them recognised me from before,” he said.
Mr Welburn and his team have fitted seven new machines at China Fleet after carrying out a comprehensive audit on its printer and copier use.
This has helped China Fleet continue to meet its commitments as a Silver Award holder from the Green Tourism Business Scheme, because it has introduced a new printer management software system which has reduced paper output and make savings on power.
Shaun Russell, China Fleet’s finance manager, said: “We are committed to reducing the impact we have on the environment and PCS has helped us meet those obligations.”
Mr Welburn was last year named Green Dealer of the Year by Develop, a leading printer and copier supplier.
His Energy Saving Calculator, an audit on printer and copier use, can tell a company how many trees it would save by adopting his recommendations.
He also offers training sessions to help companies and staff save on equipment and energy costs by changing the way they use printers and copiers.
