New website is tailor-made for the Black Farmers clothing range.

High quality, tailored clothing produced by renowned Westcountry brand The Black Farmer is being showcased on a brand new website that has helped the company transform its e-commerce capabilities.

Plymouth-based Real Fusion Creative has delivered Wilfred Emmanuel-Jones -the man behind The Black Farmer Clothing Collection – the perfect web platform to boost online orders for its clothing range.

Web director at Real Fusion, Jeremy Yelland and Troy Woodhouse, the company’s Creative Director, jointly led the design and build process for the site, www.theblackfarmerclothing.com.

At the heart of the new e-commerce website is a content management system that allows company staff to easily update text, pricing, product images and content.

All sales are processed online by secure payment provider SagePay.

“What we wanted to do was produce a site that had real impact and a contemporary feel that truly reflected the quality and style of the clothing available in the range,” said Jeremy.

“Wilfred had commissioned some high quality photography for the site and we wanted to make sure the new website did it justice, while also ensuring it had the functionality required to handle orders swiftly and effectively.”

Available for both men and women, The Black Farmer Clothing Collection is inspired by Wilfred’s love of clothes and his own inimitable style of dress.

A huge supporter of British industry, he always ensures, wherever possible, that raw materials are sourced from the UK and currently gets the tweed cloth for his stylish and elegantly cut jackets from mills in Scotland and Yorkshire.

With his farm on the Devon and Cornwall border and a base in London, Wilfred has also made a name for himself for his award winning range of gluten free sausages, bacon, chicken and other food products.

The Black Farmer is one of a number of high profile clients Real Fusion Creative has produced brand new websites for since the business, based at Tamar Science Park, was launched in 2009.

Jeremy and his team developed a new e-commerce site for Cornish based floristry business St Mellion Flowers, a new site for Town and Country Estate Agents in Plymouth and designed an online training guide on how to construct kitchen and bedroom cabinets for leading manufacturer Norbord.

Student Accommodation Plymouth

Home and Student Link Plymouth

A PLYMOUTH student letting company has expanded and moved to larger and more modern premises. Home and Student Link has relocated to larger premises in North Hill, close to its former base. Richard Rabin, director, said: “This is a positive move by our company due to the expansion of our business over the last few years.

“Our previous office was far too small for the amount of students we were looking after.”

“We have gone for a state-of-the-art office with interactive screens giving information on our properties as well as a very funky feel to the office. We are delighted and the initial feedback from students and landlords is extremely positive.”

The new offices are also located next to the North Road East car park and is “only a short walk from the university”, Mr Rabin said. He added: “We are now in a position to expand even further, if we wish to.

“With the Peninsular Student Living building at Derriford being under Home and Student Link’s management the extra office space was essential.

“We are trying to attract new landlords and felt this was a positive step to show potential landlords our aims and the service we can provide.”

Law Firm celebrates 200th Birthday with 2012 project.

City Law firm Wolferstans is 200 years old next year and they want everyone to join in the celebrations.

The firm was first established in the Barbican in 1812 at a time when work started on the breakwater, Charles Dickens was born and Napoleon invaded Russia. With such a long history they want to celebrate in style but they also want the opportunity to give something back to their staff, clients and friends in Plymouth. They have therefore launched their 2012 Project under which they hope to not only have fun and keep fit but also raise as much money for charity over the year as possible.

As Philip Thorneycroft, Partner and Head of the Family Law Department explains, ‘we felt it was important that we used the year to have events which thanked staff and clients for their support. However Plymouth has always been our main home for the past 200 years and therefore we wanted to do a bit more, especially in a year which also hosts the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee and the London Olympics. We have therefore pledged to raise £2,012 each month for the year with a target of £25,000 at the end of 2012. We will be working with six different local charities over the year, with the proceeds from the events in their months going to the Charity. For example in June we have entered 50 of our staff in the Plymouth half marathon where we will be collecting for Jeremiah’s Journey. In March we will be sponsoring a Plymouth Albion game and raising funds for Plymouth Headway. Other events include a golf day, a formal dinner and the St Luke’s midnight walk.
